AMETEK MOCON Launches User-Friendly and Time-Saving Visual Bubble Leak Detection Instrument, Dansensor® LeakPointer® H2O

Ringsted, Denmark, (June 23, 2021) -- AMETEK MOCON, a leading global provider of permeation analyzers, package testing instruments, and gas controllers/sensors, today announced the launch of the Dansensor® LeakPointer® H2O, a visual bubble leak detection system ideal for locating leaks in all types of flexible, semi-rigid, and rigid packages.

The new Dansensor® LeakPointer® H2O is used for package leak testing for MAP packaging and other packaging methods alike. It is designed for the food industry, where leak detection is critical to a product’s shelf life. Customers will quickly find the location of the leak, which is essential for solving packaging integrity issues and protecting brand reputation.

Regardless of whether a package has headspace -- like modified atmosphere packages -- or other packaging methods with little or no headspace -- such as vacuum or skin packaging -- the Dansensor® LeakPointer® H2O can pinpoint very small holes with great precision.

Complying with the ASTM D3078 standard, the instrument fills and drains water by utilizing a vacuum generated from compressed air. Add to this a mounted hydraulic lid (which reduces messy dripping), a removable and easily cleanable tub, and a quick-release hose to fill and empty the tub without heavy lifting, and you have yourself an instrument made for the convenience of the operator.
