Miniature AEC-Q200 Certified Power Inductors from TT Electronics are Low Profile

Highly reliable for demanding automotive and industrial applications

Woking, UK, 21 June 2018 - TT Electronics, a global provider of engineered electronics for performance critical applications, has announced the introduction of the HA66 series of SMD power inductors for use in high power density applications where size is critical. The inductors’ compact design, together with their AEC-Q200 certification provide the performance and reliability levels that automotive and high reliability industrial applications demand.

The low-profile TT Electronics power inductors are ideal for use in high efficiency DC-DC converters using high switching frequencies up to 3MHz as well as EMI and low pass DC filters. Applications in the transportation field include powertrain, engine control, transmission control, LED driver, ABS braking systems, EPS, radar systems, and camera control systems. In the industrial sector they are ideal for use in automation systems as well as DC-DC converters.

The HA66 series is a low profile, low loss, ferrite-based inductor designed with a wide range of inductances and package sizes. The series comprises a range of 38 inductors with inductance ratings from 2.5 to 220µH, DC resistances from 0.018 to 0.820Ω and Irms values from 1.22 to 11.2A. The compact inductors are available in two case sizes, 5.7 x 5.7 x 3mm, and 6.7 x 6.7 x 4mm.

The inductors are magnetically shielded, they have low DC resistance and feature a high saturation current of 4.4A maximum. Able to withstand high temperatures, the parts have an operating temperature range of -40 to +125°C, an ambient temperature maximum of 85°C, a maximum temperature rise of 40°C, and are able to meet an operating temperature of 155°C.

Standard packaging is embossed tape and reel in 1000 or 2000 units, and the inductors are RoHS compliant.
