New Features Added to Zlinx(TM) Wireless Modbus I/O

Ottawa, IL - A major software upgrade to the Zlinx Wireless I/O line was released this week that added features and improved the performance, giving the ability to update an analog Modbus input as fast as 15ms, and down to 8ms for a digital input.

Zlinx Wireless Modbus I/O is flexible enough to fit your applications. These plug-and-play modular units from B&B Electronics combine traditional Modbus RTU remote analog and discrete I/O with built-in wireless connectivity - reducing cost, simplifying installation and support. Wireless RTU serves as Modbus slave RTU in radio-based SCADA systems or as a peer-to-peer communication platform.

The new features added to the Zlinx series are shown below.

Improved Latency - Very low I/O latency allows real time control and monitoring.

Exception Reporting - In Modbus mode, allows the reporting of possible problems with connected devices.

Fail Safe - Allows you to set your I/O to a safe state in the event of a communication failure.

Calibration - Calculates correction factors to make I/O values more accurate or to better match a sensor.

Communications Failure Alarm - Allows the first DO to be configured as a COM failure alarm indicator.

Peer-to-Peer I/O Configuration - One to one I/O mapping of 2 identical systems. Allows remote control of analog and digital I/Os.

Monitor - You can use the Zlinx Manager Software to monitor your I/O.
