New Fabrics for the Big Top at Tri Vantage

Sunblock and Lac 650 SL fabrics designed for tents, large structures

CLEVELAND, OH (September 17, 2008) - Fabricators now have more options when it comes to tent and outdoor structures. Tri Vantage now offers Sunblock and Lac 650 SL - two technologically advanced fabrics from Dickson designed for large structures, clear spans and tents.

Enhancements in fabric technology provide Sunblock and Lac 650 SL with extremely durable and attractive qualities. Both fabrics offer wick resistance with their Lowick System, which blocks moisture penetration. Sunblock and Lac 650 SL also feature the Cleangard SL finish - a photo-regenerating lacquer that protects the fabric's surface from UV degradation, mildew and discoloration. Through a reaction with the sun's ultraviolet light energy, the fabric's finish repairs damaged cellular bonds and delays soiling.

The fabrics feature an attractive luster, are easily cleaned and can be welded. Additionally, the material resists pinholes, which can be difficult to repair. Sunblock and Lac 650 SL both meet California State Fire Marshal Title 19 and NFPA-701 Test Method 2 standards for fire resistance, and each is backed by a five-year warranty.

At 25 ounces per square yard, Sunblock is a PVC coated block-out structure fabric that blocks more than 99 percent of the sun's heat. This white fabric is available in 61, 98 and 118-inch widths.

Lac 650 SL is a 20-ounce per square yard PVC coated translucent structure fabric available in 98-inch and 118-inch widths, allowing for less fabrication time. The 98-inch width fabric is available in white, beige, green, blue and grey. In the 118-inch width, the fabric comes in grey, yellow, red, light blue, white and black.
