New Document Storage and Distribution Capability Now Available to Prolog Software Users

Integrated Document Fulfillment System Indexes Project Documents and Makes Them Available Within Prolog® for Viewing, Modifying and Sharing

FOLSOM, Calif., April 27 / / -- Meridian Systems®, a leading provider of enterprise project management software for optimizing capital projects, programs and facilities, today announced that its technology partner, Adenium Systems, has developed a document management and fulfillment product that integrates with its Prolog software. Adenium's Document Fulfillment System (DFS) enables scanning and indexing of a high volume of drawings, plans and other project documents, such as photos and spreadsheets. When integrated with Prolog, DFS allows project teams to view, modify and share these documents, creating a single, dynamic project and document management system that automates the entire project lifecycle.

"DFS was developed to allow companies to store their most critical information in a manner that is indexed, organized and easy to retrieve," said Doug Bower, President of Adenium. "Because of its effectiveness and ease of use, DFS is an excellent choice for Prolog users that need to add document storage and distribution capability to their existing processes."

With DFS, all documents -- including multiple versions of a single document -- are stored in the DFS Vault and accessed through Prolog. This provides full version control of all documents and ensures that project team members access the most current document available. When a project is complete, DFS contains a complete history of all related documentation. This information can remain in the DFS system for easy access, or be archived to an external drive using DFS's Electronic Project Closeout.

In addition to indexing documents and making them available within Prolog, DFS features an automated Notification System that allows general contractors to contact their bidder list when bid packages or new documents are available. Bidders automatically receive access to a secure, online plan room where they can view, order or print the documents they need.

To complete its document fulfillment solution, Adenium has partnered with ReproMAX, the largest international network of independent reprographic companies. Prolog users with DFS can utilize one of ReproMAX's 245+ locations to order prints locally and avoid the shipping costs and delays associated with out-of-area reprographic services. Adenium also has a unique partnership with Hewlett Packard (HP) to provide "HP Instant Print" functionality that enables a user to instantly print from the DFS system to any HP printing device.

"Prolog customers want to gain more visibility and efficiency across all their projects, so having a central repository for all project documents provides a significant benefit," said Bruno Berti, senior director of product management at Meridian. "We're excited about the value that our customers will gain from the joint integration with Adenium products."
