Brentwood Introduces its First Cross-Fluted Trickle Fill: HTP20
Brentwood's research and development team developed the company's first cross-fluted trickle fill, HTP20. It is designed to improve thermal performance over Brentwood's current HTP25 product.
Reading, PA. (PRWeb) December 16, 2019 -- Brentwood proudly introduced HTP20, the company’s first cross-fluted trickle fill, at POWERGEN Europe in Paris, France, last month. This fill is designed for use in applications where the circulating water has very high levels of suspended solids, such as river or seawater applications, as well as water with high-scale potential. It also performs well in towers that experience high sand and silica levels.
“For poor-water-quality applications, HTP20 takes thermal performance to the next level, above and beyond Brentwood’s HTP25 modular splash fill and vertical-fluted film fills,” says Joshua Livezey, Senior Product Manager for Brentwood’s Cooling Tower division.
HTP20 takes advantage of a highly engineered flute geometry to generate thin films of trickling water along its structural members. This improves cooling to increase thermal performance while maintaining a high level of fouling resistance. Additionally, HTP20 incorporates a patent-pending alternating tip to enable proper draining and limit bridging at pack transitions.
The fill is injection molded and the packs are mechanically assembled to enable efficient on-site assembly. It is made from a UV-protected polypropylene copolymer, so it can be cleaned with high-pressure sprayers and is also available in a fire-retardant formulation.
