New C20F Series Power Entry Modules Meet Glow Wire Tests

20 A Power Entry Module, C20F with V-Lock Cord Retention and Enhanced Glow Wire Resistance Now Offered as Standard Features
Santa Rosa, California, June 6, 2018 — SCHURTER’s popular IEC appliance inlet with filter series C20F, in the front side mounting versions, are now equipped with the V-Lock cord retention feature as standard. The C20F is also being manufactured with new material, whereby the components meet the increased glow wire tests according to IEC 60127-6 Edition 2 and IEC 60335-1 for appliances in unattended use.
The filtered AC connector is designed for use in power supplies rated up to 16 A at 250 VAC according to IEC and 20 A at 250 VAC according to UL/CSA. It is ENEC and cURus approved. The compact unit is designed to improve filter performance in applications with higher power demands
The C20F is ideally suited for power supplies and distribution units with power ratings up to 3500 W. Standard and low-leakage medical filter options are available for use in commercial or facilities ICT equipment according to IEC 60950 and medical equipment according to IEC 60601-1. The series is also suitable for use in home appliances according to IEC 60335-1 and general industrial applications that would benefit from the convenience of a removable cord.
