New BDR-3 Data Acquisition System is Built with an Integrated FPGA SoC

Press Release Summary:

The Third Generation BDR-3 Data Acquisition System is used for collecting data from precisely synchronized analog channels and processes data with FPGA technology. The system acquires data from analog sensors and records temperature, motion, pressure, power with 24-bit resolution. It features a 10th order filter that eliminates noise from signals. The BDR-3 provides real-time access to data for mining, charting, trend analysis, real-time analytics and alerting via AlgoCentral cloud connectivity.

Algo-Logic Systems Launches Third Generation Black Diamond Rackmount Data Acquisition system

Built with integrated FPGA SoC for high accuracy sensing of real-time data and streaming to the cloud

SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 2, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Algo-Logic Systems, a recognized leader in providing hardware-accelerated, real-time, networked data processing, today announced availability of its Third Generation Black Diamond Rackmount (BDR-3) measurement and monitoring system. The BDR-3 system collects data from precisely synchronized analog channels and processes the data with advanced state-of-the-art Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) technology. It connects to a real-time Key Value Store (KVS) and to AlgoCentral cloud to provide real-time data analytics, processing, and graphing.

The BDR-3 acquires data from all types of analog sensors to record temperature, motion (acceleration), pressure (air, water), power (current, voltage), and more by recording 15 precisely synchronized channels with 24-bit resolution. The system includes an advanced 10th order filter to eliminate noise from signals.

Combining the high-performance Black Diamond Rackmount system with Algo-Logic's data-center hosted service, AlgoCentral, provides customers with secure, cloud-based, real-time data for mining, analytics, inference, and visualization services on demand. AlgoCentral also allows users to notify them via alerts when critical events of interest occur, access recorded data, generate reports, view graphs and selectively share pertinent information with their end customers via their laptops, tablets or mobile devices.

  • Available analog sensors: Acceleration, tilt, mass-flow, optical, piezo, temperature, torque, chemical, electric current, electric potential, magnetic, moisture, humidity, fluid velocity, position, angle, strain, speed, pressure, force, density, fluid level, proximity.
  • System Precision: Analog inputs with 24bit resolution sampled with GPS time stamping and disciplined oscillator
  • New features: Digital signal processing with 10th order reconfigurable filtering using Xilinx Zynq FPGA, redundant storage, 1U form factor, dual mode operation for Key Value Store (KVS) and stream recording.
  • AlgoCentral Cloud Connectivity: Secure, real-time access to data for mining, charting, trend analysis, real-time analytics and alerting.

The BDR-3 system is ideal for monitoring the health and integrity of critical assets in connected cities, power generation systems (turbines, solar), communication systems, industrial automation, critical infrastructure (buildings, bridges, towers, piers, dams, pipelines, tunnels), and chemical processes and pipelines for oil and gas.
