New at IMTS this year from Allied Machine & Engineering Corp.

Allied Machine & Engineering Corp. (AMEC), the leading manufacturer of replaceable tip drilling systems, is pleased to announce the next level of hole making technology for the metal cutting industry. GEN3SYS(TM), AMEC's newest, and most advanced drilling system, will be showcased and demonstrated at IMTS, September 6-13, 2006.

Among the various upgrades, GEN3SYS(TM) offers a patent pending geometry, engineered to provide improved chip formation, increased penetration rates, and a longer tool life. AMEC will initially offer two types of proprietary carbide, coated with AMEC's exclusive AM200® coating to ensure optimum tool performance. GEN3SYS(TM) holders will be available with a helical flute and flanged shank.

See the GEN3SYS(TM) in an actual drilling application, at the Allied Machine & Engineering Corp. booth for a live demo. Allied Machine & Engineering Corp. will be located in Lakeside Hall, Booth #E-2448.

Continuing the focus of AMEC's Hole Advantage, AMEC offers a wide variety of Thread Milling tools.

The AccuThread 856(TM) is a helically fluted solid carbide threading system that has been received as one of the highest quality thread mills in the industry. AccuThread 856(TM) utilizes AM210(TM) coating for increased penetration rates and longer tool life. AccuThread 856(TM) will also be demonstrated at the Allied booth.

Allied Machine & Engineering Corp. offers the widest breadth of high quality products in the hole making industry. The T-A® Drilling System offers a range in diameter from 3/8" (9,5mm), to 4-1/2" (114mm). The AMEC standard holder allows for depth-to-diameter drilling up to 32-to-1.

AMEC T-A® drill inserts are available with seven types of substrates; three HSS, four carbide grades and offers a variety of available premium coatings. The flagship of the T-A® drill inserts, introduced in 2004 is the GEN2 T-A®. This product raised the bar on hole finish, quality and hole tolerance in replaceable tip drills. GEN2 T-A® is coated with Allied's exclusive AM200® coating, and has been the subject of many success stories within the industry.

The T-A® Drilling System also offers Special holders and inserts. Other tooling that utilizes the T-A® Drilling System are: The Structural Steel Holders, which have opened new avenues of opportunity for the structural steel industry. XL and 3XL Length T-A® Standard holder for deep hole drilling. This product allows for a depth-to-diameter ratio unequaled by any other manufacturer in the industry.

If you drill stainless steel or any other difficult chip forming materials, in the 3mm to 20mm diameter range, then AMEC's ASC 320® Solid Carbide drill has the solution to your applications.

Part of the growing AMEC product line this year are the Superabrasive Grinding Wheels. These precision products have been manufactured and used for years by Allied Machine & Engineering Corp., and now they are available for use in your grinding applications. Visit www.amecsuperabrasives.com for more details. For superior hole-finishing, ask about AMEC's ALVAN Expandable Reamers, available in monobloc and ring style.

Also ask about the line of EcoCut tooling. A revolutionary way to perform multiple tasks with one tool. This remarkable tool is designed to perform Drilling, Boring, Facing & Turning operations.

One of AMEC's highly used 'tools' is the AMEC Product Selector, an on-line, free service designed to assist in proper tool selection for drilling applications. This interactive program will walk the customer through a user-friendly process as they provide the basic process information, including hole diameter, hardness of the material being drilled, and the depth of the hole. This portion of the AMEC web site is accessible through the URL direct link, www.drillsolution.com , or on the Product Selector link on the home page of the AMEC web site, www.alliedmachine.com.

For special tool designing and quoting, ask your distributor to utilize the AMEC Advanced QDS portion of the Allied website. QDS an AMEC program developed to provide special length, step and custom design drills to our metal cutting customers in the fastest possible time.

The Advanced QDS program allows for On-Line rapid quoting and ordering, available 24/7 from any internet connection.

Allied provides engineered drilling solutions and application support, by phone or in person, to users of the AMEC product line.
