New ASME Agitating Vessel Solves for Effective and Fast Sanitation

Beaver Dam, Wis. – Apache Stainless Equipment Corporation, a leading manufacturer of ASME stainless vessels and portable tanks, announces a new portable tank design that exceeds regulatory compliance and increases sanitation efficiencies for pharmaceutical processors. The portable tank is an ASME U-Stamped Agitated Vessel with 24D -150 liter capacity.

The new tank has been engineered for sanitation quality and efficiency.  On the exterior (OD,) the finish is 180 grit, ground and polished. The interior (ID) of the tank features 240 grit ground and electro-polished (EP) finish for long-term service of rigorous sanitation processes. The magnetically driven mixer, by Sterimixer, features a seal-less design that eliminates any risk of contamination while providing efficient mixing. A CIP (clean-in-place) spray ball provides effective sanitation without removing the cover.

Manufactured for heating and cooling, the tank includes a 12 gauge dimple jacket and 2" insulation with 12 gauge shrouding and 5" casters and handles for easy portability. The control panel utilizes VFD variable speed control of the mixer.

The design also features easy access for maintenance. The entire lid is hinged with tool-less brackets for quick access into the tank. A large site-glass is also included for visual inspection.

Safety attributes of the new tank includes a thermo well for temperature sensing in the bottom head, an ASECPO flush mounted pneumatic valve with vortex breaker and burst discs to prevent over-pressuring.
