The Only Solution for High Definition Video Content
Polycom RSS is the only solution on the market today that supports recording, archiving streaming and H323 playback of high definition video conferences. This support will also create the only end-to-end solution for high definition video communications. Polycom previously announced support for high definition video conferences on its MGC unified conferencing bridges, and has announced plans to introduce high definition video conferencing support on endpoints later this year.
Polycom RSS Part of End-to-End Conferencing and Collaboration Solutions
The Polycom RSS features integration with Polycom VSX video conferencing systems and Polycom MGC unified conferencing bridges enables users to start, stop pause and many other options recording and H323 Playback on-demand using familiar DTMF commands while recording over IP or ISDN. Management, monitoring and customization options are easily accessible using standard Polycom MGC software management tools or a web-based interface. Users can record high-quality multimedia conferences (up to H.264 30 frames per second) with synchronized voice, video and content (point-to-point and multipoint), as well as stream live or archived content to audiences worldwide through the Internet. The server can store up to 600 hours of recorded content, which is then accessible over the Internet using common media players software, including: Microsoft Office Windows Media Player and RealPlayer.
