Service to Foster Maximum Operating System Availability and Business Continuity for Netsmart Software Customers

The initial service offering will make Vision's data protection and recovery software for AIX available to Netsmart's CMHC/MIS software customers using the IBM-AIX operating system. Vision's software and Netsmart's Advanced OS Support for High Availability Environments are designed for organizations requiring the highest levels of user uptime and system availability, and include:

o Real-time data protection through replication
o Flexible "Any Point in Time" recovery
o Data Recovery environment can be used for backups, testing, reporting, and training
o 24 x 7 support for critical down system issues
o System performance monitoring, review, and operating system tuning
o System administration assistance, including: system health monitoring, error log review, performance tuning and customization assistance
o Quarterly failover testing
o Vision software patching and upgrade assistance
o Operating system diagnostics and patching
o AIX administration assistance, including disk space management, error log review and custom backup script development
o Operating system and firmware upgrade assistance

The backup and recovery solution provided by Netsmart and Vision helps Netsmart customers meet HIPAA data disaster recovery requirements and mitigates the effects of unplanned downtime, such as inability to access clinical and billing systems, interruption of electronic prescribing capabilities, and delays in reporting and reimbursements. It should also reduce costs associated with downtime or data loss, including the inability to assist consumers, delayed billing cycles, interruption of cash flow, negative impact on revenue, added expense of manual data recovery, staff overtime and loss of staff productivity.
