NetMotion Wireless Previews Mobile VPN Compatible with Windows Vista
Mobility XE 7.2 Equips Mobile Workforce for Remote Use of Microsoft's New Operating System
SEATTLE, Dec. 12 /-- NetMotion Wireless, the industry leading Mobile VPN solution provider and Microsoft Registered Partner, is offering a Preview version of Mobility XE(TM) 7.2 for Windows Vista(TM). Mobility XE 7.2 is the first Mobile VPN to announce support for Windows Vista. NetMotion Wireless is providing the Preview in conjunction with Microsoft's launch of the Enterprise version of Windows Vista.
Windows Vista has a variety of new features and enhancements designed to improve the overall state of security in the Windows operating system. Because corporations with mobile workers have increased security concerns, NetMotion is already seeing early demand for supporting Windows Vista with its Mobile VPN.
NetMotion Wireless is offering the Preview of Mobility XE 7.2 for Windows Vista to current customers and select prospective customers. Allowing organizations to test both products prior to their widespread release gives users the opportunity to see firsthand the advantages of using Mobility XE for secure, continuous access to network resources and applications in Windows Vista environments.
Mobility XE 7.2 also supports the latest advancements in driver code signing. Administrators and end-users installing Windows-based software will know if a legitimate publisher has provided the software package via a pop-up notice. Mobility XE also supports Vista's ability for fast user switching, enabling multiple users to seamlessly traverse amongst varying networks simultaneously.
In addition to supporting Windows Vista, Mobility XE 7.2 includes new Dead Gateway Detection, which allows the Mobile VPN to automatically identify when an active network connection is broken downstream, and search for the next fastest available connection so that connectivity is automatically maintained and applications do not experience down-time. This feature is important to provide seamless operations for mobile workers who need to rely on two or more network interfaces for connectivity.

The Mobility XE 7.2 preview will be available to existing customers and prospective customers currently evaluating NetMotion Wireless' solution. General availability of Mobility XE 7.2 is planned for late in the first quarter of 2007.
