NetMotion Wireless Partnership Strengthens Enterprise Mobile Connectivity for Panasonic Toughbook and Toughpad Users

BRACKNELL, UK – Panasonic and NetMotion Wireless have partnered to improve productivity for enterprise mobile workers by offering better connectivity and security for Toughbook and Toughpad users through NetMotion's Mobility and Locality software. NetMotion's software will be available as an option on all Panasonic's Toughbook and Toughpad tablet devices across Europe under the ProServices solution offerings.

NetMotion Mobility is the most trusted connectivity software solution for improving productivity, security and control of a mobile workforce. More than just a VPN, Mobility can dynamically maintain access to applications through changing network conditions, allowing mobile workers to remain productive anywhere their work takes them. NetMotion Locality measures and monitors cellular and GPS network performance, applications, devices and their users. Locality can be installed with Mobility, or as a standalone solution for customers who already have a VPN solution.

"Panasonic Toughbook and Toughpad mobile devices empower our customers to get the job done regardless of the operating conditions," said Jan Kaempfer, Head of European Marketing for Panasonic Computer Product Solutions. "But extreme conditions can often mean mobile network access is difficult, making Mobility and Locality essential for keeping users connected to mission-critical corporate applications and data."

"Panasonic is known for making tough, dependable laptops and tablets that mobile workers can rely on to stay productive in the field," said Erik Helms, NetMotion Wireless Business Development General Manager. "Offering our Mobility and Locality software with these devices is a natural extension for Panasonic. NetMotion provides the proven connectivity and security that mobile workers trust."

Panasonic helps mobile workers improve productivity with its range of Toughbook rugged notebooks, Toughpad business tablets and electronic point of sales (EPOS) systems. As European market leaders, Panasonic Toughbook had a 66.4% revenue share of sales of rugged and durable notebooks and Panasonic Toughpad held a 50.4% revenue share of sales of rugged business tablets in 2013 (VDC Research, March 2014).
