NET.LOGIX Version 7.0 Release

Phoenixville, Pennsylvania — May 22, 2018 — CimQuest INGEAR, a leading publisher of runtime-free software development solutions for industrial applications, has introduced a new version of its NET.LOGIX software. All versions of the company’s NET.LOGIX software contain a library of drivers for Allen Bradley ControlLogix, CompactLogix, SoftLogix and Micro800 series programmable automation controllers (PAC) that Visual Studio.NET programmers can use to create HMI (Human Machine Interface) applications. NET.LOGIX software provides direct access to the controller memory, data bases, I/O and communications, letting programmers obtain the information they need from the controller, process it in a PC, and send commands back to the device for control. The software does not require third-party components, drivers, APIs or tools such as OPC Servers. This approach, in contrast to proprietary PLC supplier solutions, is a dramatic improvement for machine builders in that NET.LOGIX completely eliminates costly runtime fees applied to each unit sold.

NET.LOGIX v7.0 has enhanced system tag names @CPU_Info@CPU_State@BackPlane and @Slot to retrieve information about the state and configuration of the Rockwell PAC device. Version 7.0 also has improved Tag Browsing capabilities as well as numerous features and improvements over previous versions including many new example projects such as a CIP server that can be used to simulate a PLC for testing.

NET.LOGIX is offered in four versions for purchase:

  • Developer Edition – is for designing, creating, and deploying Windows programs, system services and console applications. Team Edition licensing is available for multi-developer environments. The Developer Edition License is also offered with 2 options. a). Dongle License option is a firmware-based floating license on a USB stick. Simply insert the dongle into any available USB port for design & debug capability without the need to register & activate the software. b). Mono Framework runtime only license to deploy your applications on Linux platforms
  • Universal Windows Edition – allows you to easily connect devices running Microsoft Windows 10 IoT Core to Rockwell Programmable Automation Controllers (PACs). It allows you to develop your own IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) applications, including ultra-low cost operator interfaces and headless intelligent devices that can be read & written by Allen-Bradley PLCs, OPC Servers and other drivers.
  • Compact Framework Edition – is for creating programs for devices such as Allen-Bradley PanelView, handheld scanners, HMI Panels, PDAs and other mobile devices.
  • Single Machine Edition – is for designing, testing, debugging and running Windows programs, system services and console applications on a single machine.

NET.LOGIX 7.0 supports Visual Studio 2005-2017. Applications developed with NET.LOGIX 7.0 can run on 64 and 32-bit Windows XP to Windows 10, Windows Server 2000 or later & Windows Embedded as well as Linux with optional mono framework license.
