Presagis Bridges Disparate Simulations with SIM OneNet

Software facilitates rapid deployment, interoperability, and monitoring of simulation applications

MONTREAL, Feb. 28 /-- Presagis, a leading provider of commercial-off-the shelf (COTS) modeling, simulation and embedded display graphics software, today announced the availability of SIM OneNet, a net-centric development and diagnostic software. The tool enables organizations to capitalize on the benefits of distributed simulations by providing users with an easier and more efficient way to establish communications and interoperability between multiple simulations.

"Mixed architecture systems are increasingly commonplace and integrating disparate simulation tools and applications is vital, particularly as project requirements grow both in scale and complexity," said Robert Kopersiewich, Vice President Product Management, Presagis. "The modeling and simulation community needs solutions that facilitate simulation interoperability and component reuse for existing applications and emerging systems. With SIM OneNet, our customers can automatically bridge multiple simulations without additional programming while analysing data on the network to optimize the performance of communications and applications."

SIM OneNet is a net-centric software based on .NET technology, fully compatible with High Level Architecture (HLA) and Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) communication protocols. Providing a highly capable method of bridging both HLA Runtime Infrastructures (RTIs) and Federation Object Models (FOMs), SIM OneNet also allows inter-communication between legacy DIS applications or network-communication-capable simulation applications. The software offers out-of-the-box protocol adapters as well as the ability to create specific protocol adapters to bridge HLA networks, DIS networks or specific simulation communication protocols.

To improve the deployment process and overall simulation efficiency, SIM OneNet also allows users to monitor, gather statistics, and visualize communications data in order to verify and validate networked systems. Users can review and search monitored data, verify reported data, plot charts to pinpoint choke points or inject new data to stimulate the system. SIM OneNet monitoring functions provide full visibility into protocol communication traffic on the network to resolve simulation interoperability issues faster and improve communication processing times.

The interoperability tool is compliant with DIS IEEE 1278.1, HLA 1.3, DIS IEEE 1278.1a, HLA international IEEE1516-2000 communication protocol industry standards and leading industry RTIs. SIM OneNet has been optimized to include an additional interoperability solution gateway for HLA RPR FOM v2.0 to/from DIS IEEE 1278.1a protocols and support for the latest Pitch RTI.
