Nerds On Site to Offer Secure Remote Access Solution Powered by Route1 MobiNET
Technology Service Provider Becomes a Route1 Channel Partner and Customer; Purchases 1,000 white-labeled MobiKEYs
TORONTO, Jan. 9 -- Route1 Inc. (TSX-V:ROI) today announced that Nerds On Site, a provider of IT support and services to small and medium-sized businesses, has white-labeled the Route1 MobiKEY. Nerds On Site will offer the secure, identity managed network solution as Nerd-Secure, powered by MobiNET(TM) and will extend free, 15-day trials to the thousands of business customers it serves across North America. Route1 sold 1,000 MobiKEYs to Nerds On Site in late December, with the IT support and services company projecting sales of 5,000 Nerd-Secure units in 2007.
In addition to re-selling the white-labeled version of the MobiKEY, many Nerds On Site technical support contractors have purchased their own MobiKEYs to provide fast and efficient support services to business customers from any Internet-enabled, Windows-based PC. This approach provides Nerds On Site with an opportunity to thoroughly evaluate a customer's technical concerns, and where possible solve the issues remotely; or as required, schedule an on-site visit to address more complex issues, such as those that may be identified as hardware related.
