Overview
The xSeries® 343 server is engineered from the start to support telecommunications environments where Network Equipment Building System (NEBS) Level 3 compliance is required. This full-function, cost-effective, carrier-grade solution combines Intel(TM) processor technology and Linux operating system support to deliver high performance at a fraction of the cost of similar UNIX® based solutions.
Ideally suited for telecommunications, wireless, and other applications that require dc power, this 2 U high, 20-inch deep rack model provides top-of-the-line function for xSeries products designed for Telco applications. Preconfigured with two-way SMP processors, substantial system memory, redundant power supplies, and an Ultra320 SCSI HDD, it is ready to handle advanced Telco applications.

· Two 2.4 GHz Intel Xeon, 512 KB advanced transfer (full-speed) L2 cache with 533 MHz FSB processors - Operations to memory and PCI bus interface at 266 MHz
· 1 GB or 2 GB of high-speed 266 MHz memory - Synchronized to the 533 MHz FSB processor
· 64-bit PCI buses - Supports three low-profile PCI-X 133 MHz and three full-size 5 V 64/33 MHz adapters
· Intel dual Gigabit Ethernet controllers
· Dual-channel 100 or 133 MHz Ultra320 SCSI PCI controller (Adaptec 7902 W) - Supports up to 293 GB, 10,000 rpm high-speed up to 320 MB/s, low-voltage SCSI (LVDS) internal data storage and external solutions
