CHICAGO, Jan. 24 // -- NAVTEQ (NYSE:NVT), a leading global provider of digital maps for vehicle navigation and location-based solutions, today announced that Ask.com, a leading internet search engine and wholly-owned business of IAC/InterActiveCorp, has selected NAVTEQ(R) map data for Ask Maps, the critically acclaimed map and direction service, as well as for the recently introduced AskCity local search service.

With millions of miles of road network, web users gain access to digital maps that aid in routing. In addition, NAVTEQ provides robust Points of Interest (POI) data assisting users in finding popular locales such as restaurants, hotels, gas stations and banks/ATMs. Web surfers can search for specific destinations or conduct local searches to find the POI that matches their needs.
