Motorola Takes Bluetooth(R) Wireless Technology on the Road with New Handset-based Navigation System Featuring MOTONAV

Goodbye backseat drivers, Hello Mobile Navigation; innovative T805/T815 navigation system brings precise GPS directions to mobile users

BARCELONA, Spain, Feb. 12 / -- 3GSM World Congress 2007 -- Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT), a global leader in wireless communications, today announced its new Phone-based Navigation System T805 and Smartphone-based Navigation System T815, both featuring Motorola's new MOTONAV solution.

The T805 and T815 Navigation Systems with MOTONAV easily turn compatible Bluetooth(R) enabled handsets into ultra-portable GPS navigation devices. Each navigation system includes a stylish Motorola designed GPS receiver, which provides precise locations, turn-by-turn directions, on-screen maps and clear spoken and visual instructions. The systems also boast a rich set of location-based services through MOTONAV.

The GPS receiver establishes a connection via Bluetooth wireless technology to a compatible mobile phone through automatic pairing, eliminating the need for complicated device discovery or pin-number entry. The receiver is enhanced by AGPS, providing users with quick start-up and location search and routing within seconds.

The MOTONAV location-based services help users to navigate to any destination including restaurants, petrol stations, schools and hotels. Users can also send their whereabouts to friends, family and colleagues, who can then view the location on a map or navigate to their location. Real-time traffic updates help drivers avoid potential congestion.

"Motorola is breaking new ground with our sophisticated new Bluetooth navigation solutions," said Ron Garriques, president of Motorola Mobile Devices. "Our T805 and T815 navigation systems, with the power of MOTONAV, deliver information when and where you absolutely need it most."

The compact GPS receiver fits easily in the user's pocket and comes complete with a car charger, universal phone holder and flexible mounting options. The T805 version comes with a 12-month MOTONAV national subscription, while the T815 includes MOTONAV loaded on a memory card.
