Raymarine Unveils Groundbreaking G-Series Navigation System

Ultra High Performance Networked System is Ideal Custom Command Center for Larger Vessels

MERRIMACK, N.H., Oct. 25 -- Raymarine, a world leader in marine electronics, today unveiled the brand new G-Series Navigation System, the company's most powerful navigation system to date. The G-Series combines Raymarine's leading chartplotter, radar and digital fishfinder technology with high-speed processing and networking, providing captains with the ultimate command station.

"The new G-Series system takes speed, integration and multifunction to an unprecedented level while offering a sleek, attractive display design," said Terry Carlson, president of Raymarine, Inc. "Building on our award-winning E-Series technology with larger displays and significantly enhanced functionality, Raymarine's G-Series offers owners of larger vessels everything they need for the ultimate on-the-water experience."

The G-Series multifunction helm solution combines ultra-bright displays, remote keyboards, and powerful processors with network sensors for radar, fishfinder, GPS, weather and video. Expanding upon the success of Raymarine's award-winning C-Series and E-Series displays, the G-Series can be configured in a multitude of combinations to precisely fit each boater's unique needs. Paired with high-resolution graphics, the display's thin bezel design not only makes the G-Series the best looking display on the market, but also allows for maximum possible screen size within a minimum amount of helm space.

The Raymarine G-Series includes:

Large, Ultra Bright Displays

Featuring Raymarine's industry-leading ultra bright display technology, the high resolution 12" G120, 15" G150, 17" G170 and 19" G190 display bold, bright graphics and vibrant colors. A wide viewing angle and sharp contrast make the displays easily visible from across the cockpit, while adjustable backlighting and night mode make them superior for use after dark as well. Rugged and reliable, the displays are built on a marine grade aluminum chassis and feature an impact resistant glass fascia which is permanently bonded to the LCD panel, improving contrast, minimizing reflections and preventing condensation.

Powerful 3D Performance

Raymarine's innovative GPM400 Processor Module is the intelligence core of the G-Series system. A rugged and powerful processor, it makes the G-Series ten times faster than Raymarine's previous generation of multifunction displays. The GPM400 features a built-in shock resistant hard drive preloaded with Navionics Platinum cartography for all of North America. Thanks to the GPM400's powerful processor and 3D graphics accelerator, captains can access 3D chartplotter performance and realistic aerial photo chart views at tremendous speeds. The preloaded Navionics charts are ready-to-go and do not require cumbersome unlocking codes for access.

Unmatched Video Integration

Each G-Series display features nine video inputs, including three VGA, two DVI, three Composite and one S-Video, enabling boaters to connect and access all of their video sources, such as cameras, PCs and satellite TV receivers, without complicated splitters or switching systems. Each display features built in picture in picture (PIP) for displaying multiple video sources simultaneously. In addition, the new GVM400 video module enables networked camera monitoring and audio through the G-Series system using Raymarine's Ethernet based SeaTalkhs network protocol.

Superior Control

Raymarine's G-Series features an intuitive keyboard that allows for complete control of all stations from one location. The only marine manufacturer with a wireless keyboard option, Raymarine provides the ability to control multiple monitors from anywhere on the boat, enabling more flexible and customizable installation options. The keyboard has the ability to control the G-Series displays remotely allowing the navigator to access menus, change video inputs, adjust brightness and power down displays simultaneously.

High Performance Digital Fishfinding

To optimize fishing capabilities, Raymarine's next-generation high definition digital fishfinder technology can be integrated into any Raymarine G-Series display using the SeaTalkhs network. The powerful DSM400 Sounder Module provides three kilowatts of depth penetrating power, reliably enabling more than 5,000 feet of depth penetration, and four independent, multi- frequency digital sonar transceivers.

Super HD Digital Radar Technology

Raymarine's revolutionary Super HD Digital Radar technology delivers double the performance and target recognition of conventional radars thanks to a powerful radar processor and Raymarine's advanced digital signal processing technology. The Super HD Digital technology improves target detection by virtually eliminating all noise and extracting additional information, and the radar's adaptive auto settings provide unparalleled target detection capabilities in almost any sea condition. Raymarine's Super HD Digital radar system offers true color radar target tracking with 256 levels of color definition, giving captains a more realistic view of their targets and land mass shapes. The G-Series system can also support two radar antennas simultaneously.

Plug-and-Play Integration

Raymarine's fast 100 megabit SeaTalkhs network enables plug-and-play integration between the G-Series processors, sounder modules, radar antennas and video, allowing captains to build the most powerful marine navigation network available. Additionally, Raymarine's SeaTalkng next generation data bus enables NMEA2000 connectivity with support for NMEA2000 compatible engines and trim tab systems.

The core G-Series System includes a choice of G-Series Marine Display, GPM400 Processor Module and G-Series wired keyboard. For additional product information and to view the G-Series video please visit: http://www.raymarine.com/.
