Natural Gas Valve includes integrated filter.

Press Release Summary:

Designed for compressed natural gas fuel dispensing systems with single- and multi-tank applications, CNG Natural Gas Valve has integrated filter that removes impurities from gas as well as any particulates downstream of valve. Two-way, normally closed valve can withstand pressures from 0-4,500 psig, and for safety, is designed with bubble-tight leakage at 0 psig. Built with stainless steel body, valve runs on 12 Vdc with current draw of 1.64 A and max ambient temperature of 170°F.

Parker Fluid Control Division Introduces CNG Natural Gas Valve Integrated with Filter

NEW PRODUCT OFFERS ENHANCED RELIABILITY, INCREASED FLOW RATE FOR REDUCED OPERATOR'S SYSTEM COSTS

NEW BRITAIN, CT/- Parker Fluid Control Division, manufacturers of the Skinner and Gold Ring lines of solenoid valves and the Sinclair Collins line of process control valves, introduces the CNG Natural Gas Valve Integrated With Filter, especially suited for downstream valve installations in CNG-powered transportation.

The high-pressure, high-flow, low-leakage valve is designed for compressed natural gas fuel dispensing systems with single- and multi-tank applications. The added filter removes impurities from the natural gas as well as any particulates downstream of the valve, ensuring a cleaner fuel source to help improve vehicle operation.

Additionally, the product's high-flow rate allows operators to use a single CNG valve for two tanks (instead of dedicating a separate valve for each tank), thereby reducing the system's cost. The enhanced CNG valve also features an improved sealing performance for greater reliability.

The CNG Valve Integrated with Filter can operate within any CNG-fueled vehicle including light-duty (sedans, pick-up trucks, and SUVs), medium-duty (vans and shuttles), heavy-duty (school and transit buses, semi-trucks, waste disposal trucks, and delivery vehicles), and off-road vehicles (lawnmowers, forklifts, freight mounts, and street sweepers). Switching to CNG as an alternative fuel source helps vehicle owners meet low emission standards.

The CNG Valve can withstand high pressures from 0 - 4500 PSIG, a range appropriate for working and maximum tank pressures. For increased safety and reduced environmental impact, the valve is designed with bubble-tight leakage at 0 PSIG for optimal sealing performance.

The two-way, normally closed valve is built with a stainless steel body. Using an integrated electrical coil enclosure, the CNG valve requires 18" leaded connection and can operate in a maximum ambient temperature of 170ºF / 77ºC. The valve runs on a voltage of 12VDC and has a current draw of 1.64 amps.

Parker Fluid Control Design is committed to providing system solutions for this and many other alternative fuel applications. The CNG Natural Gas Valve comes with a two-year warranty. For more information about the product and the filter integration, email skinnervalve@parker.com.
