National Semiconductor and Solar Partners to Display 'Smart Panel' Technology at Solar Power International

SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- National Semiconductor Corp. (NYSE: NSM), a leader in the design and manufacture of high-performance analog semiconductors, today announced that it will display SolarMagic(TM) smart panel technology in its booth at the Solar Power International Conference. Several of National's solar partners will also feature SolarMagic smart panel technology in their booths.

Incorporated into junction boxes and solar modules, National's award-winningSolarMagic chipset minimizes environmental and system mismatch that degrades system performance and efficiency, recapturing up to 75 percent of energy that would otherwise be lost. National and its partners have created the processes to successfully integrate SolarMagic electronics into panels, bring the panels through certification and launch them into the marketplace.
