NARA Machinery Co. and PSL Stand Shoulder to Shoulder at Interphex Japan

From 2-4 July 2014, PSL is to exhibit once again with NARA Machinery Co. on their booth No. is 2-001 in East 3 Hall of the Tokyo Big Sight conference centre in Japan.
After the success of last years show, PSL would like to thank NARA for inviting Powder Systems Limited back on to their stand. PSL will be represented by Pierre Landais, Tendering Manager for Asia-Pacific and head of PSL APAC (Asia-Pacific). Pierre will be on site during the three day conference promoting the long standing partnership between PSL and NARA. He will also be explaining the new technology for microsphere formulation and how PSL are leading the field with our innovative designs.
The upcoming show follows another successful joint exhibition at Korea Pharm 2014 in Seoul, South Korea. The show saw 50,621* visitors attending with over 2,500 from overseas. This is a great platform for our new PSL APAC office. Opened in February 2014 to look after the Asia Pacific region (excluding India where PSL India are responsible), supporting and serving new and existing customers with advanced process requirements. PSL APAC will also provide real-time support to PSL's local partners and distribution network throughout the region, including Nara Machinery in Japan and South Korea.
Established since 1989, PSL celebrate 25 years of business in 2014. To mark the occasion PSL will hold an exclusive Global Showcase Event at their Liverpool, UK HQ on the 18th September 2014, demonstrating Microsphere Formulation process technologies.
Microspheres are increasingly used as drug delivery devices in the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries due to their revolutionary characteristics and applications. They work as miniature time release capsules made of biodegradable polymer and carrying the API of parental drugs.
PSL's process experts developed the MicrosphereRefiner™ in respond to the challenges faced by drug manufacturers with other techniques such as sieving with mesh blocking, lengthy drying and Steam-In-Place (SIP) difficulties. The MicrosphereRefiner™ is a piece of process equipment combining filtration, cake washing, classification and drying, all in one step, with sterile product recovery. The harvesting of the micro particles is key in the formulation process as the control of particle size distribution affects the time release effect of the micro capsules. PSL technology has been developed to meet such requirements with SIP and full drainability capabilities, and tiltable sterile discharge.
