Nanopositioning Controllers offer 1-12 channels.

Press Release Summary:

Intended for piezo-driven nanopositioning systems, modular Model E-621.CR features analog and networkable digital interfaces. It integrates low-noise piezo power amplifier, high-speed servo controller, and sensor electronics for absolute-measuring capacitive nanopositioning sensors. For position stability, 20-bit A/D and D/A converters are incorporated. Model E-621 can be operated stand-alone or plugged into chassis with up to 12 slots for multi-axis applications.

Original Press Release:

Affordable, Modular Nanopositioning Controllers

Nanopositioning specialist PI introduces a new, affordable high-performance, modular controller for piezo-driven nanopositioning systems.

Digital & Analog Interfaces
The E-621.CR controller boasts high-bandwidth analog and networkable digital interfaces. This high-performance controller integrates a low-noise piezo power amplifier, a high-speed servo controller and sensor electronics for absolute-measuring capacitive nanopositioning sensors. For exceptional position stability and resolution, precision 20-bit A/D and D/A converters are incorporated.

Flexible: 1 to 12 Axis Configurations
The E-621 can be operated as a stand-alone system or plugged into an available chassis with up to 12 slots for multi-axis applications. The modular design allows for easy and cost-effective expansion by adding one additional channel at a time. It is best suited for automated applications comprising several independent motion axes, such as XY line scans combined with nanofocusing devices.

Flexible: 3 Different Sensor Types
E-621 controllers are available in three versions, supporting piezo positioning systems with strain gauge sensors, inductive Sensors and-for the for the most demanding applications-capacitive sensors.

Application Examples
Nanopositioning, scanning and alignment tasks in microscopy, biotechnology, optics, semiconductor technology and photonic packaging.

Features & Advantages
o Flexible & Cost-Effective: 1 to 12 Channel Configurations
o Integrated Analog and 20-Bit High-Speed Interfaces
o Integrated Low-Noise Amplifier / Servo Controller
o For Capacitive, LVDT and Strain Gauge Position Sensors
