Nanomite Pump is Ideal for Targeted Brain Injections
The Harvard Apparatus Pump 11 Elite Nanomite is a single syringe infusion/withdrawal programmable syringe pump designed for precise point infusion applications.
The Pump 11 Elite Nanomite was used to perform successful injections into specific sub-regions of the Caudate Nucleus (CN). Researchers were able to repeatedly inject a 1 mm diameter target in the CN tail. This is a first of its kind experiment allowing functionality to be compared within brain regions rather than treating brain regions as a whole. The Harvard Apparatus Pump 11 Elite Nanomite has been successfully used with such high precision, that it is ideal for experiments targeting specific regions relating to Parkinson’s Disease (Substantia Nigra Pars Compacta) and Alzheimer’s Disease (Hippocampus).
The Pump 11 Elite Nanomite is a single syringe infusion/withdrawal programmable syringe pump with a flow rate range of 3.66 pl/min to 3.818 ml/min with 11 lbs (5 kg) of adjustable force across the entire flow rate range. It can accommodate syringes from 0.5 µl to 1 ml.
The Pump 11 Elite Nanomite Syringe Pump is very easy to use with an LCD color touch screen and icon interface. This pump allows you to create, save and run simple to complex Methods without a PC. The Method profiles available on this pump are Constant Rate, Ramp, Gradient (binary) and Autofill. Delays can be set using the relative time clock.
