Munters Unveils Next Generation Code Blue Program

MUNTERS UNVEILS NEXT GENERATION CODE BLUE® PROGRAM OFFERING PRIORITY EMERGENCY SERVICES WITH RISK ASSESSMENT SERVICE

Optimized program delivers fast, effective business continuity response

GLENDALE HEIGHTS, IL - Munters Moisture Control Services (MCS) has optimized its successful and popular Code Blue® program - a unique concept that enables business owners and property managers to maximize the benefits of their business continuity and disaster recovery plans. The two-tier program delivers the dual benefit of risk awareness and prevention combined with a fast and effective business continuity response to fire and water damage incidents.

Code Blue identifies and prioritizes areas of importance throughout a company's infrastructure and business operations that allows emergency response teams to immediately start work in the event of a fire, weather related or other water-damage disaster. Building or facility owners or managers of properties registered under MCS' Code Blue agreement program need only call 1-800-MUNTERS and identify themselves as a Code Blue customer to receive immediate priority for emergency drying and restoration services.

"Business or property managers complete a simple online survey to develop a risk awareness profile of current business operations along with a status report on their basic risk management," said Kelly Maynard, global business development manager - risk manager with Munters MCS. "This document is a valuable measuring tool that highlights overall risk management and identifies how the current business continuity perception corresponds with the actual state of affairs."

The profile falls into one of three categories -- low, medium and high risk -- and is supported by a tailored tips guide to risk reduction. In addition to this profile, Munters may conduct a personal site evaluation to explore business operations to identify potential preparatory improvements. A full water and fire business continuity report details the key areas of process and machinery that could be impacted by fire and water damage. Munters then produces a plan to include within a a company's complete business continuity report.

In the event of an incident, the Munters MCS emergency response teams will use information on file to stabilize business critical operations, minimize damage and disruption, immediately start restoration work and best ensure the property is not further compromised. This timely and accurate response ensures that customers avoid substantial reconstruction work. Facilities are returned to pre-incident condition as soon as possible and restoration costs are significantly reduced.

"Munter's history and global experience in fire and water restoration allows us to fully understand the causes of fire and water damage and how planning can have a significant effect on reducing the overall impact of the incident - especially with regard to business interruption," said Maynard. "There will be no learning curve during an emergency because MCS already will be familiar with the structure and the plan. We can move rapidly to begin recovery work - a critical parameter to minimize the effects of water."
