Harris Corporation Unveils Broadcast-Style Multiviewers for Real-Time Multi- Screen Access to Medical Information

Company Brings New Enterprise Intelligence Systems and Services to Healthcare Market

ORLANDO, Fla., Feb. 25 -- HIMSS, Booth #1841 -- Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS) today unveiled a new family of high-tech tools that provide clinicians with real-time access to a wide variety of medical and patient information in operating room environments and other healthcare situations. The Harris systems are the same high-definition systems used by broadcast networks for monitoring multiple video sources. Using advanced multiviewer technology, the systems also allow medical personnel to conference with other specialists. A Harris multiviewer is on display during the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) annual conference and exhibition being held February 24-28, 2008 in Orlando, Florida.

"We have combined the strengths of Harris IT enterprise systems and our world-renowned broadcast solutions to effectively create situational awareness and intelligence in the operating room -- right at the point of care," said Jim Traficant, vice president of Harris Healthcare Solutions. "Healthcare providers can now design and implement powerful and cost-effective, multi- room, multi-display, multi-resolution monitoring systems for surgical centers and other patient care applications."

Harris offers the industry's broadest portfolio of multi-image display processors, providing a range of best-in-class monitoring solutions to match the specific needs of any display, surveillance or monitoring environment. Harris brings dynamic image display technology, as well as significant cost savings, to a range of mission-critical, time-sensitive and space-restricted market applications, including emerging operating room theater requirements for dynamic access to a large number of inputs and linkage to multiple displays.

The broad Harris family of multiviewer offerings includes the Predator II(TM) series, which is the ideal choice for multi-image display in facilities that require a compact, scalable monitoring architecture; the Predator HD(TM) Series, ideal for displaying sources in HD, when a small footprint is crucial; the FusionPro+(TM) series, designed for mission-critical environments where flexible configuration of multiple input sources is required for centralized monitoring; the modular, scalable NEO(R) SuiteView(TM), which allows users to create a customized, system-wide monitoring solution tailored to their operation; and CENTRIO(TM), which combines superior graphics, industry-proven architecture and integrated test and measurement tools -- enabling simplified system designs that can reduce the cost and complexity associated with traditional, large-system monitoring implementations.

Harris Healthcare Solutions provides enterprise intelligence solutions and services for commercial and government customers, including systems integration, intelligent infrastructure, visualization and display, digital content management, and IT services solutions. Harris products, systems, and services improve health outcomes by assuring that critical medical information is delivered with security and privacy to the right person, on the right device, at the point of care.
