Multivac Highlights Versatility, Efficiency at Westpack 2011

Kansas City, MO - Multivac will once again offer WestPack attendees a variety of options for Better Packaging at its booth, # 5201, at the Anaheim Convention Center, Anaheim, California, February 8-10. Among key highlights will be Multivac's first-ever thermoformer built on a full Allen Bradley/Rockwell control platform and drive system.

"With our open-architecture IPC machine controls, Multivac packaging systems can be seamlessly integrated into virtually any machine environment," says Ed Wood, director of sales for Multivac's medical-consumer-industrial (MCI) division. "To offer even greater flexibilty for those customers already working with an installed base of equipment running Allen Bradley controls, Multivac is pleased to offer this platform as well. We are excited to demonstrate this alongside a host of other superlative technologies at WestPack 2011."

Additionally, Multivac will showcase its "E Concept" thermoformer at Westpack. In late-stage development, this packaging system reduces energy consumption by more than 20 percent using efficient electric drives - completely eliminating the need for costly compressed air. Other compact packaging systems will be on display as well, including the popular and economical T200 semi-automatic tray sealer.
