Rocketport® Infinity Multiport Serial Cards Offer High-Speed Communication and Flexible Connectivity Options for a Wide Range of Serial Devices



Minneapolis, MN-October 2, 2007-Comtrol Corporation introduces the RocketPort® INFINITY product family, the next generation of multiport serial adapters. RocketPort INFINITY in-server serial port expansion cards are flexible and reliable, providing high-speed communications and connectivity to serial devices such as printers, scanners, cameras and LCD screens. With Comtrol's exclusive Unity ASIC chip, INFINITY cards are capable of increased 66 Mhz BUS speed for high performance. In addition, RocketPort INFINITY products are fully compatible with systems that have 32 or 64 bit 3.3 or 5 volt PCI and PCI-X expansion slots.

RocketPort INFINITY multiport serial cards are simple to install and available in a wide variety of models. Quad-cabled and octa-cabled products are capable of communication speeds up to 921 Kbps, and interface products can communicate at 460 Kbps. In addition, cards are low profile and suitable for both standard servers and 2U rackmount servers. All products support software-selectable RS-232/422/485 serial communication modes, and the product family includes cards with 4-ports up to 32-ports.
