Egg Solution Optronics Launches Divxr Digital Interactive Video Multiplexer Ruggedized Recorder, Ideal for Harsh Environments

The French company EGG Solution Optronics has just brought out its latest digital technology product, the DIVxr (Digital Interactive Video Multiplexer Ruggedized Recorder). This was first shown to the public at the recent International Fire, Security, Police & Safety and Health Conference & Exhibition, held May 13-16, in Birmingham, United Kingdom.
The DIVxr is an ideal solution for vehicle and harsh environment
digital encoding. It has a 9-36 VDC power option for vehicle
electrical system compatibility, anti-shock mounted components, and a removable hard drive. The unit has a tamper-proof lock and comes in a rugged steel enclosure, with attachment plates for placement under seats or in a car trunk, and a separate command control panel for remote location and secure coding of the DIVxr. A small and compact digital recorder capable of recording up to four camera inputs and four audio inputs simultaneously, it eliminates the need for an external multiplexer.
Inside the video recorder is a powerful image processor that provides real time recording and playback of video image data using wavelet compression technology. A high compression ratio (up to 300:1) can be achieved with little image quality loss. With the DIVxr, high quality image recording and play-back at up to twenty-five frames per second (PAL) and up to thirty frames per second (NTSC) is a reality.
