Multiplexer Handles High-Speed Signals

Hauppauge, NY...Providing a bandwidth of 240MHz and a slew rate of 450V/microsecond, the new ZXFV302 multiplexer chip from Zetex serves a broad range of video and other high-speed signal switching applications.

A 4:1 multiplexer, the ZXFV302 is characterized for use with 400pF loads. Its stability and high 40mA output current capability handles 75 ohm cable driving and high performance video circuits. Low differential gain and phase distortion are key features achieving 0.01% and 0.04° respectively.

Operation is simple. Input channel selection is attained by means of an on-board decoder and two logic lines. An additional output enable line allows ZXFV302s to be cascaded; two chips, for example, create a low cost 8-channel CCTV solution.

Provided in a 16-pin surface mount package, this high speed multiplexer IC needs a +/-5V supply and a supply current of 15mA. The ZXFV302 is the latest addition to the Zetex rapidly expanding family of signal management products.

The 1,000 piece price is $2.54 each. Delivery is quoted at 4-6 weeks in production volumes.
