Four Leaded, Multiple Chip IRED

Clairex announces its new CLE400F-905, a very high power output, four leaded device which contains three 905 nanometer IRED chips mounted in a flat leaded PLCC package. The chips feature current III - V solidstate technology with transparent gallium aluminum arsenide windows for increased quantum efficiency. The chips are wire bonded in parallel and overcoated with clear epoxy which provides an emission angle of ± 70° at the half power points. Maximum operating temperature with the clear epoxy lens is 100°C. Total power output is 6.0 mW typ. at IF = 6OmA. VF max. is 1.4 Volts at IF = 20mA. for each chip.

The CLE400F series can contain one to four chips. Multiple chip devices can be series or parallel connected (four chip devices, series only). Any combination of same color or different color, or visible and infrared are available. Also available are different lead configurations and different lenses including polysulfone or Ultem(TM) which will allow the device to operate reliably at up to 150°C.

The CLE400F-905 is priced at 1.19 ea/1000. Delivery is 4-6 weeks ARO. Samples are available now.
