Devon IT Announces First Shipping Stick that Converts Monitors to Thin Clients

Devon IT will announce on May 21, 2013 Ceptor™, an ultra-small full-featured desktop device that plugs into a monitor or display and transforms it into a thin/zero client.  The ultra-compact multimedia-capable device is slightly larger than a USB memory stick and enables users to convert any HDMI capable TV or monitor into an interactive client device.

Exclusively from Devon IT the ultra small Ceptor client is the first shipping device that takes virtual computing and mobile desktops to a new level by turning an HDMI Display into a virtual desktop for $89. A photo of the device to show perspective is attached.

Unlike “PC Sticks”, Ceptor is a full featured enterprise client desktop access point that is configurable and fully manageable making it an ideal virtual desktop solution for a wide variety of uses.  Ceptor is slightly larger than the typical USB stick and it plugs into any  monitor or display that is equipped with an HDMI port.  The device lets users access their virtual desktops by running Devon IT’s zero client operating system – ZeTOS.

Devon IT is scheduling press briefings on Ceptor starting today and through next week.  Please contact Paul Mancini for more information and to schedule briefings.
