Ricoh Corporation Launches the Aficio MP9000, Aficio MP1100, and Aficio MP1350

Aficio MP1350 the Fastest MFP Ever

PHILADELPHIA, May 16 -- Ricoh Corporation, the leading provider of digital office equipment, today launched the Ricoh Aficio(R) MP9000, Aficio MP1100 and Aficio MP1350, designed to produce the highest quality output at the fastest speeds ever. With output speeds of up to 135 pages per minute (ppm), and durability to match, the Ricoh Aficio MP9000/MP1100/MP1350 Series can dramatically expand the capabilities of any workplace.

The Aficio MP9000/MP1100/MP1350 Series provides high performance without complexity. Users can program copy or scan jobs quickly and easily with the large, easy-to-read graphics on the Super VGA Color Touch Panel Display and mistakes can be minimized by first reviewing expanded preview images of scanned data before they are sent through scan-to-email. Also, while many multifunctional devices can scan black-and-white images, the Aficio MP9000/MP1100/MP1350 systems can scan color images as well, at exceptionally fast speeds, and then e-mail or forward them to an FTP site for easy distribution.

These production-quality systems are built to sustain the demands of high volume printing environments while minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity. Users can simplify last-second adjustments by editing right at the printer in a variety of ways, including creep adjustment (shifting images slightly in the middle of booklets to improve readability); mixing one-and two-sided originals; and using Bates numbering. Additionally, multiple sheets of paper in the feed system are automatically identified by the Multi-Feed Detection System and removed before they can cause any problems. This allows users to copy at high resolutions and fast production speeds with a limitless paper supply. And, the Ricoh Aficio MP9000/MP1100/MP1350 Series can handle any kind of paper up to 13" x 18" and up to 80 lb. cover - including recycled, pre-punched, cardstock, bond, transparencies and tab stock.

Another great benefit of the Aficio MP9000/MP1100/MP1350 Series is that finishing has never been easier since it has a wide range of output devices readily available. Saddle-stitching and a Z-fold option eliminates the cost, wasted time and slower turnaround of outside vendors while the new GBC StreamPunch(TM) III eliminates 50% of the labor that it normally takes to produce bound books. Users can also manage system functions right from their desktop with Ricoh's WebImageMonitor utility, which lets users check toner and paper levels, as well as change print queues, merge jobs, receive e-mail error notifications and much more. Furthermore, Ricoh's @Remote Intelligent Remote Management System automatically reports usage meter data, freeing up time for employees to focus on more essential tasks.

The Aficio MP9000/MP1100/MP1350 systems are protected with some of the most sophisticated security measures available, including:

o The DataOverwriteSecurity System (DOSS) -- automatically overwrites latent information on the hard drive after every copy, print and scan job. It's the same security methodology that the National Security Agency uses to secure information remaining on digital system hard drives.
o Multiple Network/User Authentication -- provides full control and active management across any organization.

The Aficio MP9000/MP1100/MP1350 series is available in a variety of configurations. Suggested retail price starts at $39,000 for the Aficio MP9000; $50,000 for the Aficio MP1100; and $60,000 for the Aficio MP1350.
