Platinum Series 'X' Line of Controllers Combine Top-Of-The-Line Multifunctional Features and Affordability in a Convenient 1/8 DIN - 48 X 96 MM Package
PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA Â To address the need for an affordable and multifunctional line of 1/8 DIN - 48 x 96 mm controllers, Athena Controls, Inc. (Athena) introduces the Platinum Series X400 Line of temperature controllers and the X5000 Line of process controllers, all designed to serve a wide range of thermal processing applications.
Features include a choice of analog, heat/cool, valve control outputs to provide compatibility among a range of actuators. The Platinum Series "X" Line provides options for interfacing with other devices via multiple communications protocols, analog retransmission output, Remote Setpoint and multiple digital linear and non-linear universal inputs. The front panel design, with its easy to use ergonomic keypad and clear, comprehensive display, provides IP65 environmental protection (indoor, dust and water protection). Absolute, band and deviation diagnostic and alarm signalling is also available. Plus, the electromagnetic compatibility of the "X" Line controller eliminates interference and noise.
For cost-effective solutions to the most demanding processing control applications, the Platinum X400 Line of temperature controllers provide a high degree of flexibility and outstanding reliability; all at an affordable price.
For sophisticated multifunction process control with a high level communications capability, the Platinum X5000 Line of process controllers can assimilate information via a mathematical package and then exchange it between different interface levels and control devices. The frequency input (added to the traditional inputs), two retransmission or control analog outputs, and a 4 segment setpoint program gives you complete control over the most diversified processing strategies.
All models provide up to 0.1% input accuracy, are cULus and CE-compliant, and come with a 3-year warranty. For total configuration flexibility, from either keypad or via serial communications, the user can select the type of input, associated functions and corresponding outputs, control algorithm type, output and safe conditions, alarm and functionality types, control parameter values and more.
Other standard features include: autotune software, dedicated auto/man key, multiple outputs, three digital inputs, remote setpoint and potentiometer input (X400 Line), current transformer input (X5000 Line), IP65 front panel protection, and auxiliary power supply.
Optional features for the X400 Line include serial Modbus/Jbus protocol communications, mathematical package, frequency input, second analog or digital output, and a 4 segment setpoint program. Options for the X5000 Line include serial Slave Modbus/Jbus, Master Modbus/Jbus or PROFIBUS DP protocol communications, analog control or retransmission output, remote setpoint, start up and timer functions, two front bezel colors, valve drive output, and an 8 segment setpoint program.
