HIRSCHMANN ENGINEERING, USA, INC., Buffalo Grove, Illinois, announces the addition of IONOGRIND multifunction fluid to its increasing line of synthetic and semi-synthetic fluids. Imported from Europe and developed by Oel-Held, Germany, the fluid is available in 55-gallon drums, F.O.B., Buffalo Grove, IL.
IONOGRIND was developed for use in combination machines for grinding and rotation erosion. The multifunction fluid has the advantages of a high-performance dielectric fluid used for a high rate of metal removal and good surface quality, along with a high-speed grinding oil that produces minimal foam or vaporization.
IONOGRIND is used for eroding and grinding polycrystalline diamonds, HSS and hard metals, since its special composition minimizes cobalt leaching. Increasingly important in grinding are polycrystalline diamond tipped tools. IONOGRIND with its EP additives shows highly efficient grinding results.
IONOGRIND is manufactured by enriching extremely pure synthetic products with satellite electrodes using a special blending method and adding extremely age-stable high pressure additives. (The blending method is covered by patents in both Germany and the U.S.)
IONOGRIND is recommended and used by Walter Grinders, Inc. for their Helitronic Power Plus Diamond Machine both in Europe and the US.
