Chicago Rawhide Introduces Multi-Lip Seal for Food and Chemical Processing Markets
ELGIN, IL (June 28, 2004) - Chicago Rawhide announces the introduction of the PDX Cartridge Seal to its full line of sealing solutions. The PDX Seal, designed for the fast-paced food and chemical processing markets, is a unitized kit or cartridge to be installed in specific positive-displacement (PD)-type process pumps.
The multi-lip cartridge seal is engineered with a solid silicon-carbide sleeve that reduces heat and wear, greatly extending the life of PD pumps. The seal's unique bi-directional annular units insure positive sealing of both thick and thin fluids and allow pump reversing. Also, the seal contains no moving o-rings, no faces to stick or wear, and no springs to clog.
