New, VMA0055 Measure/Simulate MODULE from Meriam Process Technologies Features the Functionality of a Digital Voltmeter and Loop Calibrator - for Use with MFT 400 Series Calibrator/Communicator
The VMA0055 is a voltage and current measurement and simulation module for use with the Meriam handheld Multi-Function Tester (MFT) 4000 Series. The MFT's software provides valuable features including mA sourcing, transmitter output simulation, and loop power sourcing. Measurement ranges include ±500 mV, ±55 V, and ±100 mA. Simulation output signals include ranges of 0-24 V and 0-24mA.
The VMA module will also simulate transmitter outputs when connected to a loop or it can be used to temporarily supply 24V dc loop power to a device without source power during commissioning or calibration activities. VMA0055 extends measurement capability beyond the ±50 volts / mA measurement limit of MFT base unit.
The MFT is a combination calibrator and HART communicator with a modular design that features three bays that accept sensor/simulation modules that support several ranges of pressure. T/C and RTD temperature, and mA/Voltage signals.
The MFT supports full calibration, configuration and electronic documentation. When the MFT is interfaced with Meriam's Device Management System (DMS) software it provides a complete set of tools for the commissioning and maintenance of intelligent field devices for asset optimization in the process industry.
