Original Press Release:

Multi-Bag Filters Can Handle Flow Rates from 230 to 4500 GPM

For high flow rate filtration systems, operators can now take advantage of the many benefits offered by bag filtration with Hayward's MAXILINE® multi-bag filter vessels. Flow rates of up to 4500 gpm and filtration down to 1 micron particle size can be handled by these versatile filters.

Filtration system operators can choose from standard filter vessels with 3 bags all the way up to vessels with 24 filter bags. And for extremely high flow applications, fabricated vessels can be constructed with up to 36 bags. MAXILINE bag filter vessels are also available in a low profile design that reduces the operating height to make bag changeout easier without the need for platforms or ladders. Buna N® seals are standard with Viton® available as an option.

Several different types of cover opening designs are available including davit type, spring assisted and, for applications where bag changing will be frequent, a quick opening cover that takes only 15 seconds to open.

Carbon steel or stainless steel construction can be specified and both come with ASME Section VIII Division 1 "U" Code Stamp. Rated at 150 psi, stainless steel vessels come with a bead blasted finish while carbon steel units have a paint coating.

Hayward has a huge line of filter bags that have been designed to provide maximum performance in the MAXILINE vessel. These bags are offered in 18 fabric materials with 15 different micron ratings from 1 to 800. Both sewn and welded construction bags are made with several different sealing rings and collars. MAXILINE will also accept most standard 7" x 32" filter bags.
