Multi-Analysis System counts particles in oils.

Press Release Summary:

With Model CSM 02, users can count particles and solid contamination in hydraulic and lubrication fluids as well as analyze other important oil parameters, such as water saturation, temperature, viscosity, and relative dielectric constant in stationary or mobile applications. In addition, system is suitable for analyzing foamed oils in large gearboxes and flushing test stands. With WSPS 05 and/or IVS 01 sensors, system can provide additional monitoring and preventative maintenance capabilities.

Eaton's New CSM 02 Multi-Analysis System Shows Reliable Operations Begin with Reliable Particle Counting

TINTON FALLS, N.J. – Power management company Eaton today introduced its new CSM 02 multi-analysis system that helps users count particles and solid contamination in hydraulic and lubrication fluids to deliver reliable and efficient operations. The CSM 02 system also analyzes other important oil parameters, such as water saturation, temperature, viscosity and relative dielectric constant in stationary or mobile applications. Additionally it is ideal for analyzing foamed oils in large gearboxes and flushing test stands.

“The advancements incorporated into the new CSM 02 multi-analysis system constitute a further step in Eaton’s commitment to our customers,” said Mary Jo Surges, vice president and general manager of the Filtration Division. “The importance of early detection of changes in fluid cleanliness results in more reliable production, lower purchasing cost for new oil, and reduced environmental impact from used oil disposal.”

The new CSM 02 multi-analysis system can easily be upgraded with Eaton’s WSPS 05 and/or IVS 01 sensors for additional monitoring and preventative maintenance capabilities. The WSPS 05 sensor determines the saturation level of water in oil and the IVS 01 sensor detects changes of viscosity, temperature and relative dielectricity before system failures can occur.
