MTN Selects Redline's Redmax Products for WiMAX Network in Cameroon


Major African telecommunications provider deploys Redline's WiMAX Forum Certified(TM) RedMAX(TM) products for 12-city wireless broadband network -

Toronto, ON, November 20, 2007 - Redline Communications Inc., (TSX and AIM: RDL) a leading provider of standards-based WiMAX and broadband wireless infrastructure products, today announced that MTN Cameroon, a subsidiary of the MTN Group, a multinational telecommunications group operating in 21 countries in Africa and the Middle East, has chosen Redline's WiMAX Forum Certified(TM) RedMAX(TM) products for its 12-city WiMAX network.

The first phase of the MTN Cameroon's WiMAX roll-out will include the cities of Douala and Yaound©, with 10 additional cities planned for 2007 and 2008. During this phase, MTN Cameroon will install base stations with capacity to serve thousands of users and will offer VLAN services to more than 700 corporate customers. The company expects to extend its services to more than 12,000 residential users in Douala and Yaound© in 2007. MTN Cameroon chose Redline's RedMAX products after a two year tender process during which the company evaluated WiMAX products from several companies.

RapidCloud a Redline Certified Partner and the leading wireless systems integrator, has initiated the first phase of the WiMAX network and is developing network plans for each of the additional 10 cities where MTN Cameroon will roll out its WiMAX services.

Redline's RedMAX(TM) Family

Redline's RedMAX family of WiMAX solutions includes the world's first complete system to receive the WiMAX Forum Certified(TM) mark for conformance to the WiMAX standards for performance and interoperability. Redline's carrier-class RedMAX Base Station (AN-100U) supports voice, video, and prioritized data traffic, enabling long-range, high-capacity wireless broadband networks. RedMAX 4C Mobile WiMAX Platform

The RedMAX 4C is the latest addition to Redline's family of WiMAX products. Operating in the 2.5 GHz and 3.5 GHz spectrum bands, RedMAX 4C is designed to conform to the requirements for 802.16e Certification Wave 2, which is the WiMAX Forum's official certification program for Mobile WiMAX. Supporting a high concentration of subscribers, it enables operators to realize a rapid return on their WiMAX investment, with a low total cost of ownership. The RedMAX 4C includes a modular, standardized µTCA (micro Telecommunications Computing Architecture) chassis base station that is small, lightweight and easy to deploy. RedMAX 4C will also include a suite of indoor and outdoor fixed and portable end-user devices including laptops, mobile handsets and PDAs.
