MSA Galaxy(TM) Automated Test System Offers Network Interface Option

MSA Instrument Division announces the availability of an optional wired or wireless network interface for the fully-featured version of the MSA Galaxy Automated Test System for MSA portable gas detection instruments. To access the data of a network-enabled Galaxy Automated Test System, operators can use any web browser such as Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator.

Among the information included in the instrument inventory of the Galaxy System network interface are instrument type, serial number, test stand location, and last-calibration date. Nearly all settings of a Galaxy System test stand can be easily modified via the network interface, including test type, calibration-due interval, and cylinder configuration. The Galaxy System network interface notifies up to two recipients via email when an instrument is due for calibration or has failed calibration.

Galaxy System network manager software provides access to multiple network-enabled Galaxy System test stands. It also combines all instrument inventories and last-calibration data from the entire network and displays them in an easy-to-understand format.

With the latest features expected in an automated recordkeeping and calibration test system, including ease of use and versatility, the Galaxy Automated Test System is an outstanding tool for managing MSA gas detection equipment. The system offers ease of use with minimal training requirements, as all gas tubing and electrical connections are pre-connected. Other features include instrument charging, test receipt printer, battery pack and in-line gas cylinder holder.
