MRI Interventions to Exhibit Its ClearPoint Navigation Platform for Neurosurgery at AANS 2015 Annual Meeting

IRVINE, Calif. – MRI Interventions, Inc. (OTCQB:MRIC) today announced that its ClearPoint® neuro navigation platform will be on exhibit at the 2015 Annual Meeting of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) May 4-6, 2015, in Washington, D.C. Conference attendees are invited to visit the MRI Interventions booth (#708) to learn about the ClearPoint system's unique capability to enable a wide range of neurosurgical procedures under real-time MRI guidance.

The ClearPoint system is the only navigation platform designed to allow real-time visualization during minimally-invasive neurosurgical procedures. ClearPoint software works with MRI to assist surgeons in planning a target and trajectory, and the SmartFrame® targeting devices enable the MRI-guided alignment and minimally invasive insertion of surgical instruments. The ClearPoint system allows surgeons to monitor the placement of devices in the brain in real time for a variety of neurosurgical procedures, including placement of electrodes (i.e., deep brain stimulation electrodes), catheters (i.e., laser ablation catheters), and biopsy needles.
