Original Press Release:

Bring This Mouse to the Field

Miniature optical mice from CyberResearch® are ideal for field use. They fit neatly into PC carrying cases and are small enough to fit on the palm rest of most laptops. Smooth and precise optical technology works on any textured surface. Users like the way that PTFE skid pads glide cleanly over desktops.

Many people find it inconvenient to switch back and forth from the mouse on their desktop PCs to a touchpad or trackball on their laptop PCs. To keep pointing operations the same in both environments, CyberResearch, Inc. is offering miniaturized optical mice that can be used anywhere. To conserve power in the field, the optical light-emitting diode in the mouse automatically dims when the mouse is not in motion.

Only 2.5 inches long and 1 inch wide, these mice are available in both PS/2 and USB versions. Both versions provide conventional left- and right-click buttons.

A 2.5-foot cord connects the mouse to the computer. The attractive polycarbonate mouse case is translucent gray with a silver band in the middle. The PS/2 version is compatible with Windows® 95/98/NT/2000/ME/XP/CE, and Mac 8.6 or higher. Naturally, the USB version requires an OS that supports USB.

In addition to optical mice - now shipping from stock - CyberResearch, Inc., also offers panel-mount and desktop PCs, as well as data-acquisition and motion-control systems. For more information on any of our products, call Joe Tetreault at 800-341-2525, or visit www.cyberresearch.com.
