TWINSBURG, OH - Pepperl+Fuchs revolutionary KF-ExDuct is a mounting accessory for intrinsic safety barriers and other DIN rail-mountable devices that increases packing density by 50 percent. The KF-ExDuct can be used in hazardous and non-hazardous applications. It includes color-coded wiring duct covers.
The KF-ExDuct optimizes space by mounting up to 90 barriers along a 1.8 meter length, making it perfect for large installations. It can easily be cut to size, making it a viable option in smaller installations as well. Unlike typical mounting methods that require extensive use of wire ways and cable trunks, the aluminum extrusion's integrated cable duct allows system and field cables to be routed directly below the barriers, with suitable isolation between.
To achieve even greater reduction in wiring, power can be applied to the barriers with Pepperl_Fuchs' Power Rail, which snaps into the trough of a standard 35mm DIN rail pre-molded into the KF-ExDuct. While the duct can be panel-mounted, it is ideal for cabinet installations where space is critical. Spacer bolts come with the duct for this purpose.
