NORD Gear Now Offers Standard NEMA C-Face Motors and Brakemotors
Waunakee, WI - NORD Gear Corporation announces that now all of their Motors and Brakemotors will be offered with NEMA C-Face mounting as a standard feature. A coupling mounted onto the motor shaft and connected to the speed reducer input shaft transmits torque, which makes NORD motor removal easier and damage-free. Making NEMA C-Face mounting a standard feature along with the recent upgrade to high-performance Inverter/Vector Duty designs, NORD Gear has optimized its motors specifically for demanding applications while yielding superior performance with current inverter drive systems as well as enhance the function in non-inverter installations as well.
NORD NEMA C-Face Motors and Brakemotors, available in Standard Efficiency and High Efficiency models:
o Offer voltage spike resistance per NEMA MG-1-1998 Section 31.4.4.2,
o Include Class H magnetic wire insulation that is double-coated for extra protection,
o Sealed per IP55 protection rating and Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled (TEFC),
o At speed range of 5: 1, offer constant torque from 60 Hz to 12 Hz,
o At speed range of 20: 1, offer constant torque from 80 Hz to 4 Hz,
o Offer optional speed range of 10:1 with constant torque from 60 Hz to 6 Hz, or speed range of 1000:1 with constant torque from 60 Hz to 0 Hz,
o Are Underwriters Laboratories Recognized, CSA Approved, and European Union CE Certified.
