Motorized Positioning Stages offer 15-70 mm travel.

Press Release Summary:

Comprising linear, rotary, goniometer, and vertical elevation stages with DSP-controlled microstepping drives, AX Series offers positioning accuracy to 5 microns and repeatability to ±0.3 microns. Units are available with tables from 40 x 40 mm to 120 x 120 mm, with 1.0 mm pitch ballscrew drive and both cross roller and caged ball designs for loads up to 20 kg. All stages support complete multi-axis positioning systems, either directly mounting to each other or via low profile adapter plates.

Original Press Release:

Low Cost Motorized Positioning Range will Suit Research and Industrial Applications

Slinfold, UK - Heason Technology has released a new range of economically priced stepper motor driven miniature positioning stages for low-cost applications in laboratory and research as well as automated alignment for production and test. The comprehensive and modular range, from Heason Technology's distribution partner GMT Global, suits medium precision use and includes linear, rotary, goniometer, and vertical elevation stages together with DSP controlled high performance microstepping drives.

The AX linear positioning stage series is available for travel from 15 to 70 mm in a choice of precision grades, offering positioning accuracy to 5 microns and repeatability to +/-0.3 microns. Available with a table size from 40 x 40 mm to 120 x 120 mm, the range features a high precision 1.0 mm pitch ballscrew drive and both cross roller and caged ball designs for loads up to 20 kg. The worm gear driven rotary and goniometer stages and the wedge design elevation stages all complement the compact dimensions, precision and dynamics of the linear range. All of GMT's motorised stages are available for complete multi-axis positioning systems, either directly mounting to each other or via low profile adapter plates.

Whilst the range is keenly priced, the quality of design is very high with veritable attention-to-detail features such as integral and adjustable card mounted home and overtravel switches that link with a neat motor connector system - facilitating straightforward and fast installation for all stage electrics.

The range is completed by the DS2 series digital microstepping drives with optically isolated TTL level step and direction inputs. The fully protected range has auto tuning and parameter set-up with programmable current and microstepping resolution. Heason Technology offers a wide range of compatible motion controllers and automation platforms to suit a diverse range of application requirements for combined motion and machine control.
