New Size 34 Stepping Motor & Board Level Driver
Torrance, CA - Oriental Motor USA Corp. now offers the CSK Series with a size 34 (3.35 in. sq. [85 mm sq.]), 2-phase, hybrid stepping motor and compact board level driver. The CSK Series provides both high speed and high torque capability in a single motor-driver package.
The holding torque values vary from 305 oz-in (2.2 Nm) for the shortest CSK296-ATA to 916 oz-in (6.6 Nm) for the longest CSK2913-ATA stepping motors. The compact board level driver packages produce drive currents of 4.0 amps and 4.5 amps per
phase (unipolar configuration at 24.0 vdc). A custom ASIC, in combination with surface mount technology and new generation FET's, delivers a compact size of 3.94 in. x 2.76 in. x 1.42 in. (100mm x 70mm x 36mm)
The CSK driver incorporates an excitation timing function to assist the customer in detecting the mechanical home position of the stepping motor. The driver also features an automatic current cutback function. A step angle select switch allows the customer to select full step (1.8°) or half step (0.9°) operation.
