Press Release Summary:
Providing power from 15-48 V, 10 A, Model FMod-IPECMOT 48/10 encompasses both motor controller and power level. It uses standard Ethernet protocols including TCP-IP, UDP, and HTTP. By using FSoft-MOTORCTRL software, user can configure various parameters and test system simultaneously. Integrated regulator allows for control in position as well as in speed, based on motor's encoder. For brushless motors, Hall sensors can be directly connected to card.

FiveCo Extends its Ethernet Motor Controllers Product Line
Introduction of a new Ethernet controller card for brush and brushless Motors.
Lausanne, September 5, 2005
FiveCo announced today the release of a new controller card FMod-IPECMOT 48/10 :
a version for brush or brushless DC Motors is now available, its power varying from 15
to 48 [V], and up to 10[A]. The company thus widens its current motor controller
product line that already comprises:
- FMod-I2CDCMOT 48/1.5 (10-48[V], 1.5[A])
DC motor controller card using the I2C communication protocol. The whole system is integrated on a single 48 x 35 [mm] board.
- FMod-IPDCMOT 48/1.5 (10-48[V], 1.5[A])
DC motor controller card using the Ethernet communication protocol. The card can be powered through the network connector according to the 802.3af standard (Power over Ethernet) in order to achieve 15[W] power.
Compact, the new FMod-IPECMOT 48/10 card encompasses both the motor controller (position, speed) and the power level. This system uses standard Ethernet protocols (TCP-IP, UDP, HTTP), making it easy to interface it in order to develop one's
own application. Moreover, by using the FSoft-MOTORCTRL software, the user can, all
at once, configure the various parameters (regulator, communication, end of course
sensor management "¦) and test his system.
One of this card's major innovations lies in its integrated regulator. It allows for a
control in position as well as in speed based on the motor's encoder or, for brushless
motors, with Hall sensors that can be directly connected to the card.
